Looking after your dog's joints
Is your dog finding it hard to run around, get up the stairs or play with their four-legged pals? They might be having problems with their joints. This is very common in more mature dogs, but can still occur with those in their prime! Constant wear and tear as well as specific breed genetics can play a part in stiff joints, which is why it is so important to help them when they age as well as throughout their younger years.
What is hydrolysed collagen?
A key structural protein made up of amino acids, collagen summates around 70-90% of a dog’s muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This means that as the natural levels decrease either through age or use, it can result in joint issues. As a result, it is key to your dog's movement and active lifestyle to keep their collagen levels healthy. Hydrolysed collagen, also known as collagen hydrolysate, is a superior form of the protein as it has a light molecular weight. This means it has a better bioavailability or, in other words, it is easier for the body to absorb. This makes it particularly beneficial for joint care, especially when used alongside other ingredients.

I first bought this product from Amazon. Just as I was beginning to see a difference in my dogs mobility (around 6-8 weeks) they stopped selling it. I was delighted when I searched on Animigo's website and found I could buy it direct. I started giving it to my 14 and 1/2 year old Border Collie. The vet had advised Metacam for the rest of her life as she was having difficulty walking. I didn't want to do that as, long term, it would have caused other health issues. I have definitely noticed a difference in her mobility. She's still a bit doddery when she gets up from her bed, but she will easily go on an hours walk and she will have a little run on the beach which she wouldn't do a few months ago! Don't get me wrong, she's still an old girl but i have seen a great improvement. I am very happy with this product and I even give it as a joint aid to the rest of my dogs.
I like this, as a powder it’s easy to add to my dogs food as he won’t take pills
